Paphos Mosaics, Ancient Odeon
In 1962, a local farmer was ploughing his field when he came across what has been described as one of the finest examples of ‘floor art’ in the Eastern Mediterranean.
These unmissable mosaics serve as a valuable and beautiful record of everyday life of the Greco-Romans as well as the legends of gods, goddesses, and heroes, decorated with many mythological, vintage and hunting scenes. This site also includes other sites and monuments from prehistoric times to the Middle Ages.
